Saudi Aramco has announced a 7.8% increase in diesel prices to SAR1.79 ($0.49) per liter as of 1 January. This follows massive price increases of 53% and 44% in 2024 and 2025 respectively that have served to constrain consumption. Diesel demand averaged 592,000 b/d over the first 10 months of 2025 according to the latest Jodi data, down 2.8% (MEES, 3 January 2025).
