Partners in Oman’s offshore Block 50 operated by Masirah Oil (Rex 92.65%, Schroder & Co Banque 5%, Petroci 2.35%) revealed a modest boost to reserves at the Yumna field. From a base reserve (2P) estimate of 3.7mn stock tank barrels at the end of 2024 it has jumped more than 60% to 6mn barrels. Output is averaging only 2,000 b/d so far this year.

Oman’s only other producing offshore asset is Block 8 (1,000 b/d, 8mn cfd) which is home to the Bukha and Bukha West fields currently owned and operated by state firm OQEP (MEES, 14 March). (CONTINUED - 91 WORDS)
