Israeli renewables firm Doral Energy has been granted government permission to construct a 300MW solar PV and combined 1.2GWh storage facility on the occupied Golan Heights. Israeli daily The Marker reports that the project is valued at IS900mn ($253mn) and construction will begin over the next two to three years.
Doral is Israel’s leading PV and storage firm, ahead of compatriots Enlight and Energix. Doral has 632MW of solar PV and linked 1.226GWh of storage in operation across Israel while it has a further 175MW of solar and 248MWh of storage under construction (see table). (CONTINUED - 158 WORDS)
