Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) announced on 11 December that it had signed a 15-year deal with Kuwaiti contractor Spetco to develop gas facilities on the Budour and Tayseer sour gas fields. The Budour Tayseer Gas Project aims to deliver 2mn m3/d (71mn cfd) of sweet gas, 950m3/d (6,000 boe/d) of condensate and 80 t/d of sulfur pellets.

Budour and Tayseer are two of the few gas fields in Oman’s south that currently utilize gas processing facilities to process associated gas from the area’s oil fields. The Budour field is close to the Birba gathering station that handles associated gas from nearby oil fields, while the Tayseer field is near the Al Noor Production Station. (CONTINUED - 197 WORDS)
