The Ta’ziz partnership of Abu Dhabi’s Adnoc and ADQ this week awarded the China National Chemical Engineering & Construction Corporation Seven, Ltd. (CC7) a $1.99bn EPC contract to construct the UAE’s first PVC production complex. The 1.9mn t/y complex will produce PVC, ethylene dichloride (EDC), vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and caustic soda and is due to be completed by 4Q 2028. It will be located at the Ta’ziz chemicals park alongside low-carbon ammonia and methanol plants.

Ta’ziz also signed 5-10-year agreements with The Sanmar Group to export 350,000 t/y of EDC and VCM to its PDC facilities in Egypt and India. (CONTINUED - 106 WORDS)
