Teams from the IMF will be in Egypt in early December to carry out the fifth and sixth review of the country’s economy as part of an ongoing $8bn loan, communications chief Julie Kozack confirmed.

In a 13 November press briefing Ms Kozack was upbeat about Egypt’s improving economy. “The macroeconomic outlook in Egypt is improving, growth is strengthening, inflation has eased since the beginning of the year, and fiscal discipline is being preserved,” she said. (CONTINUED - 143 WORDS)
