QatarEnergy is consolidating its position at the 6.6mn t/y QatarEnergy LNG S(1) facility, taking back stakes from ExxonMobil, Kogas, Itochu and LNG Japan. When the plant started up in 1999, QatarEnergy retained a 63% stake, with ExxonMobil the largest partner with 25%.
In its 2024 Annual Report, QatarEnergy states that effective holding at the plant had increased to 89.63% by year-end and that Exxon’s remaining stake would be transferred by April. (CONTINUED - 123 WORDS)
