Achieving first gas in 2027 from Cyprus’ 3.1tcf Cronos gas field is “difficult” the island’s Energy Minister George Papanastasiou said on 2 October.
A field development plan has yet to be filed, though operator Eni is hopeful that a final investment decision (FID) can be taken before the end of the year. Eni estimates first gas would come two and a half years later, implying 4Q 27-1Q 28 (MEES, 25 April).
