Thai state oil and gas firm PTT, in its five-year plan for 2024-28 released 14 December, scales back the full capacity target at Algeria’s HBR project to 30,000 b/d from 50-60,000 b/d. Planned start-up is also pushed back from 2H 2027 to 2028 “subject to regulatory approval and FID timing,” PTT says. Phase-1 of the project in Algeria’s Berkine Basin (PTT49%op, Sonatrach 51%) started up in Q3 2022 and hit full first phase output of 17,000 b/d in August (MEES, 3 November).
