UK major Shell has signed up the Stena Forth drillship for a three-well campaign in Egypt’s offshore Mediterranean. Stena says that drilling for Shell will commence upon completion of its current contract.
As of 19 January the drillship remains in place at the Nargis-1 well which it recently completed drilling for Chevron and Eni north of the Sinai and where the two firms this week announced a discovery (MEES, 20 January). (CONTINUED - 277 WORDS)
