Saudi Aramco flagged up the Master Gas System (MGS) expansion work as a major area of investment during Q2 in its 9 August earnings call (MEES, 13 August). The firm is working to expand capacity of the MGS from its current 9.6bn cfd to 12.5bn cfd, but the project is considerably overdue.

Originally slated to be complete by the end of 2019 (MEES, 15 March 2019), Aramco declined to comment on when it expects the expansion to 12.5bn cfd to be completed. The firm’s 2020 Annual Report merely notes that “current capacity is 9.6bn cfd,” and that it “is currently undergoing an expansion.” (CONTINUED - 595 WORDS)
