Global gas demand will fall by a record 150bcm (4%) this year as the Covid-19 slump comes on the back of mild northern hemisphere winter weather.
The IEA’s flagship Gas 2020 medium-term outlook, released 10 June, reckons the 2020 slump will leave a lasting impact on global gas demand: with “no rapid return to the pre-crisis trajectory.” 2025 demand will be 75bcm/y lower as a result. (CONTINUED - 233 WORDS)
