Saudi state water utility SWPC on 4 October invited developers to submit expressions of interest by 5 November for the development of a reverse osmosis (RO) desalination plant at Ras Mohaisen, 300km south of Mecca on the Saudi Red Sea coast.

The plant will have capacity to desalinate 300,000 m3/d of seawater and will be developed as an independent water producer (IWP) project, supplying potable water to SWPC under a 25-year water purchase agreement. (CONTINUED - 286 WORDS)
