Egypt will export its eighth LNG cargo of 2020 on 27 October with the ‘Cape Ann’ slated to load for Total. The French major has 5% of the Shell-operated 7.2mn t/y ELNG terminal at Idku on the Mediterranean coast. This will be Egypt’s first LNG export cargo since Total loaded a cargo on 25 July.

Prior to that, ELNG had been mothballed since mid-March, a decision taken by the key stakeholders, Shell, Malaysian state firm Petronas and Egypt’s state oil firm EGPC (MEES, 10 April). (CONTINUED - 152 WORDS)
