Israel has failed again in its bid to attract major players to its upstream. Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz last week announced that two consortia, neither of which included big players, had made bids on just 12 of the 19 blocks put on offer back in November (MEES, 19 July).

Whilst final bidding results are not due until mid August, the make-up of Israel’s future offshore is already clear and the post-mortem has already started. (CONTINUED - 990 WORDS)
