Adnoc Drilling is pressing ahead with ambitious plans to enhance its role following last year’s deal with Baker Hughes (MEES, 12 October 2018). GE’s oil services subsidiary took a 5% stake in the Abu Dhabi state firm in October 2018, and its technical prowess has enabled Adnoc Drilling to expand its services. Initially merely a drilling provider, the firm now provides fully integrated drilling services (IDS) including well logging, wireline and directional drilling.
Adding these capabilities enables Adnoc Drilling to provide more efficient services, rather than subcontracting operations out to various services providers. (CONTINUED - 365 WORDS)
