This week the Satorp partners awarded US firm KBR a contract to debottleneck the second of two CDUs at its 440,000 b/d plant, with a view to completion in August 2020. KBR has appointed China’s Wison Engineering as subcontractor for the project.
KBR says the second debottlenecking will result in a throughput capacity 15% above the 400,000 b/b pre-bottlenecking figure, that is 460,000 b/d. Capacity at the plant was increased to 440,000 b/d early last year in a first debottlenecking project ( MEES, 23 March 2018 ). (CONTINUED - 360 WORDS)
