Sharjah plans a substantial gas storage facility that will provide supplies throughout the UAE. Hatem al-Mosa, CEO of the Sharjah National Oil Company (SNOC), tells MEES that Sharjah is developing a facility with the capacity to receive and release gas at a rate of 200mn cfd.

FEED is slated to begin this quarter, and Mr Mosa says he hopes the reservoir will have limited functionality before the end of 2020. Initial flow rates would be around 50mn cfd, before building up to 200mn cfd capacity in a further two-to-three years. (CONTINUED - 371 WORDS)
