Saudi energy minister Khalid al-Falih has announced revised targets for solar and wind power projects, which suggests that Riyadh is maintaining its faith in the future role of renewables in the kingdom despite slow progress on ambitious plans revealed over the past few years.

Mr Falih says Saudi Arabia will combine a continued switch from liquid fuels to gas while improving efficiency in the power sector and introducing renewable energy sources and nuclear power. (CONTINUED - 599 WORDS)
