Libya’s upstream continues to be wracked by instability. But one clear recent success of the country’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) is in persuading international oil services firm Schlumberger to return to the country’s upstream.
The evidence can clearly be seen in the country’s ‘rig count’. The country saw its first onshore rigs in three years in July (4), with the number rising to seven in August, according to data tracked by Baker Hughes (see chart). (CONTINUED - 268 WORDS)
