Egyptian state gas firm Egas has extended the deadline for a keenly-watched bidround for blocks in the Mediterranean to 29 November. The 16 blocks on offer contain key deepwater acreage close to Eni’s 21tcf 2015 Zohr discovery as well as the firm’s Calypso find in nearby Cypriot waters earlier this year (MEES, 16 February). Bidding was originally due to close on 8 October (MEES, 25 May).
