Fast-track development of the DNO-operated Peshkabir field in Iraqi Kurdistan is running ahead of schedule. The Norwegian firm announced this week that Peshkabir (DNO 75%, Genel 25%) output has reached 25,000 b/d with the Peshkabir-4 well now placed on production.

Peshkabir was previously at 15,000 b/d but is now competing with UAE firm Taqa-operated Atrush as Kurdistan’s third largest foreign-operated field. DNO says it will bring a further well “onstream in August and expects to reach and surpass its previously announced summer 2018 Peshkabir production target of 30,000 b/d.” (CONTINUED - 369 WORDS)
