Duqm Bunkers Deal For Shell

Oman’s Port of Duqm Company (PDC) has signed an agreement with Anglo-Dutch major Shell to develop a marine fuel bunkering facility at the port of Duqm, on Oman’s eastern Arabian Sea coast, where PDC is developing an industrial zone. Among visiting tankers will likely be vessels taking products from a 230,000 b/d export refinery at Duqm that Oman’s OOC and Kuwait’s KPI are building to target the Asian market. Oman is also looking to benefit from tightening IMO shipping fuel rules beginning 2020 by developing LNG bunkering services. (CONTINUED - 171 WORDS)
