The EBRD development bank has secured $65mn of financing for a 51MW solar PV power plant in Jordan, to be built 150km northeast of Amman at Al-Safawi. The bank estimates the total development cost for the plant at $93.3mn.

The loan will be provided to the Al-Safawi Green Energy joint venture of Spain’s Fotowatio (70%) and local firm Arabia Trading and Consulting (ATC). EBRD says the loan will be split equally between itself and Dutch development bank FMO. Spain’s TSK is EPC contractor for the project. (CONTINUED - 394 WORDS)
