Algeria has seen its export revenues jump over the last two months as gas shipments to key customers Italy and Spain have risen to the highest level since the first quarter. Prices for Algeria’s Saharan Blend crude hit $63.23 in November, the highest figure since May 2015, whilst LNG export volumes rose to a 19-month high of 1.43bcm (of gas) in October.

Whilst the jump in gas export volumes in part reflects normal seasonal trends, the start-up of new gas fields holds out the hope of a sustained rise in volumes. (CONTINUED - 1656 WORDS)
