France’s Engie has awarded Korea’s Doosan Heavy a 1 trillion won ($840mn) engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a gas-fired cogeneration (combined heat and power) plant at Fadhili, 85km north of Jubail on Saudi Arabia’s Gulf coast.

Saudi utility SEC and petroleum firm Aramco awarded Engie a contract in October to develop the cogeneration plant alongside the 2.5bn cfd capacity Fadhili gas processing plant. It will be developed on a build, own, operate and transfer basis for start-up in 2019. (CONTINUED - 293 WORDS)
