The Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC), scheduled for 13-15 March at the Red Sea resort city of Sharm Al-Shaikh is intended to send a loud and clear message that the country is open for business.
According to Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation Najla al-Ahwani, the conference seeks to confirm to the world that Egypt is moving forward with economic and social reforms and that it is returning with determination to the international investment map. Egypt is looking to turn the page after four years of instability following the February 2011 ouster of Husni Mubarak. Foreign direct investment has yet to recover. (CONTINUED - 757 WORDS)
