Saudi Aramco announced a partial managerial revamp on 16 December, although in truth, the new appointments amounted to little more than a consolidation of the status quo. Mohammed Qahtani was appointed Senior Vice President Upstream, after serving as acting business line head, upstream, since October. Mr Qahtani has replaced Amin Nasser, who was named acting CEO of Aramco in May, with the appointment made permanent in September. Amhad al-Sa’adi was appointed Senior Vice President, Technical Services, and had been acting service line head of technical services since March. Finally, Muhammad al-Saggaf is now Senior Vice President, Operations & Business Services. He had been acting service line head of operations and business services since 2014.
