Sadara Signs Storage, Export Deals As Polyethylene Start-Up Nears

Sadara Chemical Company, a joint venture between state petroleum firm Saudi Aramco and US firm Dow Chemical has signed two agreements with Jubail Chemical and Storage Services (JCSSC) for liquid products storage and handling at the King Fahd Industrial Port (KFIP) in Jubail.

JCSSC, a joint venture between Saudi petrochemicals giant Sabic and Netherlands-based port operator Royal Vopak, will operate the new facilities at Quay 2 in KFIP. The agreement will facilitate Sadara’s exports of liquid chemicals from KFIP on Saudi Arabia’s Gulf coast. Sadara will export solid products from nearby Jubail Commercial Port (JCP). Both ports are within 20km of Sadara's facilities.
