Suma Chakrabarti, head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) says the international community should boost support for economic stability in post-‘Arab Spring’ countries.

Mr Chakrabarti told a London investment conference for Deauville Partnership nations on 16 September that the EBRD has built up a presence in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia. Initial investments came in September 2012, including $100mn to Jordan’s Al-Manakher power plant. The bank has also supported small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and invested in bank and equity funds. (CONTINUED - 280 WORDS)
