The Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA), a GCC-focused industry body, warns regional petrochemical producers to conserve water in their manufacturing processes in anticipation of reduced future availability of this “scarce” and “finite” resource.
Announcing its latest Performance Metrics Report on 11 December, GPCA says that GCC petrochemicals producers used 1.16 trillion cu ms of water in 2012, up by 3.5% from the 1.12 tcm consumed in 2010. (CONTINUED - 272 WORDS)
