Sudan Oil Standoff Continues Despite Juba’s Increased Transit Fee Offer

In a bid to break the deadlock in negotiations over the sharing of oil revenues, South Sudan on 23 July offered its northern neighbor a string of concessions including more than $3bn in compensation for the economic losses brought about by the South’s secession in July last year.
