Noble Energy started drilling the Leviathan-2 well in the Amit license offshore Israel on 20 March using the Pride North America semisubmersible drilling rig. Drilling is expected to be complete in three months. A target depth was not provided, but the rig, owned by Pride International and registered under the Norwegian flag, is capable of drilling in water depths of 7,500ft (2,286ms) to total depths of 25,000ft (7,620ms).
