Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) said on Sunday that Nigeria remains on course to increase its oil production to 4mn b/d and its reserves to 40bn barrels by 2020 (current reserves stand at 37bn barrels), despite security challenges facing the country’s oil industry. Output hit an all-time high of 2.7mn b/d in late July, said NNPC chief executive Andrew Yakubu.
