Qatar To Join Egyptian Refinery Project

Qatar has announced plans to join a $3.62bn project to build a new oil refinery in Egypt. During a meeting in Saturday in Doha, Egyptian Oil Minister Usama Kamal, Qatar’s Minister of Energy & Industry Muhammad al-Sada indicated that the 4.2mn t/y refining joint venture represented the first step toward a preciously pledged $8bn of total Qatari investment in Egypt’s energy sector.
