Sudan And South Sudan To Resume Oil Talks

Published on Tuesday, 04 Sep 14:58 pm

Sudan and South Sudan were scheduled to resume on 4 September oil export talks that hinge on resolution of a border dispute. South Sudan halted production in January after the two sides failed to agree on transit fees for the South to use the North’s pipeline system for exports. This latest session of talks is expected to conclude with the initialling of an oil export agreement, with conclusion of a border agreement to come at a later stage.
