METI: Japan Imports From Iran Jump

Japan imported an average of 208,000 b/d of crude from Iran in June, up 6.8% from a year ago, preliminary figures released Tuesday by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Japan’s crude imports from Iran in June also jumped 56.8% from May, according to the METI data. June crude imports from Saudi Arabia jumped 985,000 b/d from a year ago, up 7.1%. Saudi Arabia is Japan’s largest crude supplier.
