Iran Boosting Production From Shared Oil Field

Iran is boosting production in Yardaveran oil field, from 16,000 b/d to 20,000 b/d reports the Fars news agency, adding that Yardaveran is located around 70 kms southwest of Ahwaz city near the border with Iraq. Development of the field includes three phases, in which oil production will rise to 85,000 b/d, 180,000 b/d and 300,000 b/d in the first, second and third phases respectively. In-place oil reserves of the field are estimated at 12bn barrels of crude oil, while the volume of associated gas stands at 12.5bn cu ft and gas condensate reserves at 1.9bn barrels.
