Iraq Urges Riyadh To Retract IPSA Decision
Published on Friday, 20 Jul 13:01 pm
The Iraqi government has called on Saudi Arabia to retract its decision of banning Iraq from exporting oil through the Iraq Pipeline through Saudi Arabia (IPSA), stressing that Riyadh does not have the right to ban the Iraqi oil export according to international law. In a statement to the Iraqi Media Network’s News Center, government spokesman 'Ali al-Dabbagh, called on Saudi Arabia to renounce the decision of banning the export of oil, explaining that resolving the financial problems with Saudi Arabia should be done through consolidating dialogue and not by preventing Iraq from exporting crude oil via the pipeline, which is not related to the financial transactions between both countries.
