Zadco Awards Upper Zakum Expansion Contracts

A consortium Of Abu Dhabi’s government controlled National Petroleum Construction Company and France’s Technip has won the first of two large EPC contracts for work aimed at boosting output from the giant Upper Zakum offshore field, Zadco said Wednesday. The project’s aim is to increase production from Upper Zakum to 750,000 b/d by 2016 from the current capacity of 500,000 b/d.
