A complete EU embargo on Iran over its nuclear program came into force on Sunday, but Iran has already found ways of circumventing the sanctions. In recent weeks the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC)  has changed the names and flags of its fleet to the flag of the remote Pacific islands of Tuvalu and also to African country Tanzania in order to avoid sanctions.
