Oil Prices Steady As Storm Fears Ease

Benchmark crude oil prices held steady on 26 June, as fears over damage to offshore installations in the Gulf of Mexico from Tropical Storm Debby eased and operators began to return workers to evacuated platforms. However, concerns remained that a summit of EU leaders on 28 June would fail to find a solution to Eurozone debt woes. In New York WTI settled $0.55/B lower at $79.21/B, while in London Brent ended $0.03/B higher at $91.01/B.
