In an unprecedented and unexpected move, Kuwait’s Emir Shaikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah decreed on 18 June to suspend the National Assembly (Parliament) for one month in a bid to give time for the government and the MPs to prepare strong grounds for cooperation.
