Algeria’s Sonatrach and Russia’s OAO Gazprom have agreed to maximize their LNG sales worldwide through swaps, says Sonatrach’s CEO 'Abd al-Hamid Zerguine. The accord was discussed during the Oil and Gas Conference in Kuala Lumpur. The exchange would allow Algeria to supply Asian customers through Gazprom and the European customers through Sonatrach, cutting transportation costs for both firms, according to Zerguine.
