Minister Highlights Losses To Syrian Electricity Sector From Unrest

The electricity sector in Syria has suffered a major setback from the freezing of agreements by a number of international banks and organizations to finance power projects worth over $1bn, which are under implementation, as a result of the ongoing political unrest, the Syrian Minister of Electricity Imad Khamis told parliament on 4 June.
