Syrian Rebels Give 48-Hour Ultimatum To Asad
Published on Thursday, 31 May 12:26 pm
Syrian rebels on 30 May set President Bashar al-Asad a deadline to abide by UN peace proposals. Rebels’ spokesman Col Qasim Saadeddine declared in a video posted on YouTube: “The joint leadership of the Free Army inside Syria announces that it is giving the regime a final 48-hour deadline to implement the resolutions of the UN Security Council. It ends on Friday at 12.00 [local time]. Then we are free from any commitment and we will defend and protect the civilians, their villages and their cities.”
