Jordan Raises Fuel, Power Prices To Tackle Deficit

Jordan raised on Sunday the prices of petrol and power to offset a $3bn deficit in this year’s $9.6bn budget, reports AFP. The price of premium gasoline was increased by 25%, and the prices of kerosene, fuel oil and diesel were also raised. Meanwhile, electricity tariffs for banks and hotels were increased, as well as mining and telecommunication firms.
