French Foreign Minister Says Syria’s Forex Reserves Down By Half

US and EU sanctions have reduced Syria’s foreign exchange reserves by half, France’s Foreign Minister Alain Juppe said on 17 April at a meeting of diplomats and treasury officials from 57 countries held in Paris to coordinate measures against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Asad.
