Ambassador Richard Morningstar, US Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy, told an Economist conference in Athens on 28 March that the US government has modified its stance on gas supplies to Europe in favor of “the immediate and sustainable opening” of the EU’s proposed Southern Corridor gas pipelines.
