Published on Tuesday, 21 Feb 09:54 am
As reported in MEES of 20 February, the partners of the Shah Deniz consortium have decided to make their final selection on the pipeline project, which will win the 10 bcm/year tender, in phases. The consortium announced on 20 February that it will select two finalists each representing a project that intends to service the Italian or the Central European market. It also announced that it has decided to eliminate ITGI from the final round of the competition in favor of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), without disclosing its decision on the finalist option with regards to the two pipeline projects targeting the Baumgarten hub, namely Nabucco or BP’s Southeast European Project.
